I am the module organiser for Module 3401: Skills for Field Research that is a compulsory module for the MSc Public Health for Eye Care. I have been fulfilling this role since 2016 and this year updated the module to align it further with the developments in conducting field research for eye care. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic this was also an opportunity to digitise the module and deliver it online with an increase in focus on the application of practical research theories.

I teach on Module 3404: Non Communicable Eye Disease with a focus on refractive errors both for children and adults and how to manage these in different settings with a focus on their public health impact.

I teach on Module 3404: Childhood Eye Diseases and Ocular Infections with a focus on the different strategies for refractive errors in children, specifically myopia followed by a session on the planning and implementing of school eye health programmes.

Externally, I am an Honorary Lecturer at Sankara Eye Institute, India at the Optometry Academy and lecture on the role of optometrists in public health.
