I have a background in epidemiology and a PhD health economics. My work is mainly in the area of economic and impact evaluation, with a practical focus on model-based analyses for supporting decision-making and resource allocation in low- and middle-income countries. I have been based in Zambia since 2012.

Teaching
I am Deputy Module Organiser for the Economic Evaluation distance learning module and a final project supervisor for the MSc Public Health (Distance Learning). I also assisted with the development of the online Health Economics and Financing in Low and Middle Income Countries open access course.
Research
I recently completed my PhD, where I developed a priority-setting model for tuberculosis control in South Africa that takes into account health system constraints. My main project is currently an analysis of the performance and efficiency of primary health care systems in low- and middle-income countries as part of the Exemplars in Global Health initiative. Other recent projects include cost-effectiveness analyses of new TB preventative regimens in selected high-burden countries; a model-based analysis of the economic impact of Covid-19 in low- and middle-income settings; and an analysis of the sustainability of immunisation financing in Zambia.
